Might beat Batman Lucifer

The best Batman return has yet to be confirmed, yet it's so obvious

Jared Leto plays the Joker again. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck return as Dark Knights, although Robert Pattinson is about to play a young Batman. All DC heroes are apparently allowed to run, even if they haven't been active for 30 years. Or almost all of them?

The best Batman reunion is still denied us. Although the actress concerned would be ready to return immediately.

"I wasn't asked": why the best Batman return so far is missing

We're talking of Michelle Pfeiffer, of course 1992 in Batman's return as Catwoman crept through the alleys of Gotham. While her then co-star Michael Keaton is returning as Batman for several DC films, Pfeiffer has not yet been mentioned.

The three-time Oscar nominee would have nothing against a return to the latex costume of the pale DC villain. So she said in an interview with Screen Rant when asked if she would be interested in playing Catwoman again:

I would be if someone asked me, but no one has asked me yet.

At the risk of using up all the emotional reserves of the week on Monday morning: What the hell? At Marvel and DC, half the superhero world is returning in dusty costumes, including Kirsten Dunst and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man 3 or Ben Affleck in The Flash. But nobody asked Michelle Pfeiffer, unquestionably the best Catwoman in film history, to do so?

Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman is one of the best DC characters in the movie theater

Pfeiffer's change from shy Selina to murderous femme fatale of Gotham is one of the highlights of the entire cinema Batman canon. This Catwoman wasn't just dangerous in her unpredictable changes of heart.

The undercooled eroticism of the DC villain is still unparalleled in the American superhero film. Neither Halle Berry nor Anne Hathaway were able to catch up with Pfeiffer with their Catwoman versions.

Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman and Cat in Batman's Return

So if Michael Keaton can return as Bruce Wayne / Batman through the multiverse possibilities of Flash film, then this should also be possible for Selina Kyle / Catwoman. Not least because, in my humble opinion, the two stars share wonderful screen chemistry.

How Catwoman could enrich the DC blockbuster and us

The reunion with her two characters of old age could not only enrich the Flash film. It could also be ours Perspective on the aging of superheroes and villains expand. In the cinema, these are naturally in a constant process of renewal. They are filled every few years.

The "old" versions are captured in the popular culture amber. Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman will always be that Catwoman from Batman's Return. However, if Michael Keaton's version of the dark knight is allowed to evolve, why not Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman?

Based on the end of her first and only DC movie, this Catwoman has not yet used up all of her seven cat lives. They are definitely enough for a return to The Flash.
