The digitized customer wants to be advised, served and looked after via all touch points and individually according to his wishes. He expects an attractive shopping experience in which goods can be searched for, selected, bought and returned across channels. The challenge for retailers is in offering “Commerce Anywhere”. As part of the seventh Oracle | MICROS Retail Forum is about the reactions of the retail trade to the current challenges, about concepts, solutions and trends.

Prof. Dr. Kaapke gives a lecture on the topic "Cool Hunter - looking for innovative ideas all over Europe". In his lecture he reports on the “Cool Hunter” project he is leading at the DHBW Baden-Württemberg: In November 2014, around 50 students were hunted for cool ideas. Divided into groups, they traveled to a total of 22 major European cities and were on the lookout for innovative ideas and concepts in retail. Kaapke shows a selection of these ideas, particularly from the areas of shop and shop window design, communication and service policy.
