What does Christianity say about porn

What does the Bible say about pornography? Is it a sin to watch pornography?

The most searched terms on the internet are by far related to pornography. Pornography is rampant in today's world. Like nothing else, Satan has succeeded in twisting sex and making it bad. He took what was good and right (loving sex between husband and wife) and replaced it with lust, pornography, adultery, rape and homosexuality. Pornography is just the first step on a very slippery slope of ever-increasing malice and immorality (Romans 6:19). Just as a drug addict has to consume larger and larger quantities of drugs, pornography draws a person further and further into sexual addiction and hideous desire.

The three main categories of sin are: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the arrogance of life (1 John 2:16). Pornography definitely makes us lust for the flesh, and it is undeniably a pleasure for the eyes. Pornography certainly does not qualify as one of the things we should think about, "By the way, my brethren, what is truthful, what is honorable, what is just, what is chaste, what is lovable, what is good, what is some virtue or praise, think about it "(Philippians 4: 8). Pornography is addicting (1 Corinthians 6:12; 2 Peter 2:19), destroys (Proverbs 6: 25-28; Ezekiel 20:30; Ephesians 4:19), and leads to ever-increasing wickedness (Romans 6 : 19). To lust for other people (the core of pornography) is offensive to God (Matthew 5:28). If habitual exposure to pornography describes a person's character, that person is not converted. --1 Corinthians 6: 9.

If there was one thing I could have changed before my conversion, it would be my involvement with pornography. Thank God - He can and will give us victory. Are you involved in pornography and want to be freed from it? Here are some steps to victory: (1) Confess your sin to God (1 John 1: 9). (2) Pray that God will purify, renew, and change your mind (Romans 12: 2). (3). Ask God to fill your mind with Philippians 4: 8. (4) Learn to keep your body holy (1 Thessalonians 4: 3-4). (5) Learn to understand the proper meaning of sexuality and rely only on your spouse to meet that need (1 Corinthians 7: 1-5). (6) Realize that when you walk in the Spirit you are not performing the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). (7) Take useful steps to reduce your exposure to graphic images (e.g., install pornographic blockers on your PC, limit TV and video use, find other Christians to pray for you and help you be accountable - your spouse if you are married).
