Japan events in October 2019

Japan is one of Germany's most important trading partners in Asia. Conversely, Germany is the island nation's most important partner country in Europe. The trading volume has grown steadily since 2009 and amounted to around 44 billion euros in 2018. The EU not only has a strong G7 partnership with Japan, but also good economic relations and a well-established community of values.

The free trade agreement between the EU and Japan, which came into force on February 1, 2019, is intended to strengthen the economic and political relations between these two important trading areas, as well as the general role of the EU in Asia. Bavaria will also benefit from this. In addition, the agreement sends out a strong signal for free trade and against protectionism.

So there are many reasons to come to Rosenheim for the 5th Japan Business Day in order to get the latest and best possible information from experts and successful companies.

Rosenheim's twin city, Ichikawa, will again be represented by a delegation headed by Mayor Hirotami Murakoshi.

The organizers are the city of Rosenheim in cooperation with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bayern International, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan, the IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria, the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, the Rosenheim district and the Sparkasse Rosenheim-Bad Aibling.
